Conflict of Interest Code

The Pajaro Valley Health Care District Hospital Corporation's Conflict of Interest Code ensures transparency, integrity, and accountability in all activities and decision-making processes undertaken by those whose job duties fall into an area of responsibility as outlined in the code itself. It sets forth the standards and procedures designed to identify, disclose, and manage situations where personal, financial, or other interests may compromise—or appear to compromise—the impartial performance of our duties. Our Conflict of Interest Code has been approved by the California Fair Policies Practices Commission (FPPC), a five-member independent, non-partisan commission that has primary responsibility for the impartial and effective administration of the Political Reform Act.  The Act regulates campaign financing, conflicts of interest, lobbying, and governmental ethics.  The Commission’s objectives are to ensure that public officials act in a fair and unbiased manner in the governmental decisions-making process, to promote transparency in government, and to foster public trust in the political system.
